ichly appointed in antique furnishings and romance-inspired finery, this Renaissance-Revival-style room is located on the second floor in the Inn’s rounded tower providing views of downtown San Diego.
The centerpiece of this spacious room is the spectacular circa 1870 Renaissance-Revival queen-size bed, regally dressed in luxurious jacquard-woven gold and wine-colored bedding. Shimmering golden drapes and valance, adorned in layers of trim and tassels, cover the triple windows. A large leather-top desk harkens to the days of hand-written letters, while an equally antique hand-carved armoire hides the modern day flat screen television.
Guests will take a step back in time when entering the room’s attached bathroom with its claw-footed tub and shower, and elaborately detailed hand-painted tiles with decorative medallions depicting renaissance motifs.
