as it by chance that Amanda chose the Gothic room for her rendezvous with James? There had been weekends before in other inns but this felt…different. Anticipating his arrival, Amanda ordered Champagne – coincidentally from that quaint winery in France they visited last summer. The room’s jewel-like colors of royal purple and rich greens reflect in the crystal flute as she pours herself a glass. Sinking back into the ornately carved lounge chair, she slides her favorite Manolos off her slender feet and gazes out the window at the stately tree and garden below. As she takes another sip of Champagne and closes her eyes, there is a knock at the door. Just before she say’s “enter”, she wonders if this might be the weekend, she says yes.
